Cihan Digital Academy has announced the attainment of two major global accreditations, a significant step in its efforts to lead artificial intelligence education across Africa.
The academy has received a formal Institutional Affiliation with the University of Artificial Intelligence and Experiential Education LLC, based in Missouri, United States, and an ISO-certified OICAP-QA Institutional Accreditation.
These recognitions confirm the academy’s commitment to building a strong foundation for AI education and training in Africa. With this development, Cihan Digital Academy strengthens its position as a certified centre for learning in artificial intelligence, data science, robotics, and digital marketing.
“This dual accreditation is a pivotal moment. It’s not just an institutional milestone; it’s a validation of our unwavering mission to cultivate world-class artificial intelligence talent in Africa,” said Celestine Achi, an AI educator and innovator, and developer of educational frameworks including the TABS-D and AI-PR Maturity Framework. “We are no longer just participating in the Fourth Industrial Revolution; we are now certified to lead it. This solidifies our position as the premier institution where African minds can forge the future, equipped with globally-recognised credentials and the practical skills to drive innovation across the continent.”
A joint statement from the Office of the Registrar for OICAP-QA and the University of Artificial Intelligence and Experiential Education LLC confirmed the milestone.
“This milestone affirms Cihan Digital Academy’s commitment to global academic excellence, digital innovation, and quality assurance in education and training delivery. The dual recognition from OICAP-QA and UAIEE Missouri USA solidifies its international standing and strategic commitment to producing future-ready professionals in the digital and artificial intelligence economy.”
The academy’s affiliation with the University of Artificial Intelligence and Experiential Education provides African learners with access to programmes aligned with the realities of today’s technology-driven labour market. The U.S.-based institution specialises in experiential and work-based learning, which complements Cihan’s approach to skill development.
“Cihan Digital Academy shares our commitment to accessible, competency-based education that prepares learners for the real-world demands of the technology sector,” said a spokesperson for the University of Artificial Intelligence and Experiential Education LLC. “They are the ideal partner to extend our innovative learning models into Africa, and we are confident that together we will empower a new generation of AI leaders.”
The OICAP-QA ISO certification serves as further endorsement of Cihan Digital Academy’s focus on quality learning experiences and practical skill development. The institution now offers a range of undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate programmes with international recognition.
Key aspects of the new development include a flexible hybrid learning model, combining online, distance, and blended formats. The academy also recognises prior learning and professional experience through structured pathways, enabling professionals to convert their work experience into formal qualifications.
Cihan Digital Academy aims to prepare citizens for opportunities in emerging sectors by focusing on digital literacy, entrepreneurship, and AI leadership. Through these new partnerships, the academy plans to support learners from across the continent and beyond in developing the skills required to thrive in the evolving global economy.
