The Foundation for the Personal Development of African Children (PDAC Foundation) has announced the official opening of its new Transformation Centre in Surulere, Lagos.
Ogo Ogbueli, Executive Director of the PDAC Foundation, said the new centre reflects years of planning and collaboration. “We are absolutely thrilled to officially open the Transformation Centre. This has been a long-held vision, brought to reality by the incredible support of our partners. We’re especially excited to kick things off with a free summer leadership and personal development program for children, providing them with the tools and opportunities they need to thrive right from the start.”
The centre aims to provide access to personal development and skill-building opportunities for underserved children.
As part of the launch, the Foundation is introducing a one-month free summer leadership and personal development programme for children. This initiative seeks to create a space for young people to begin building leadership skills and confidence in a supportive environment.
The Transformation Centre is equipped with a variety of learning tools, including books, encyclopaedias, educational software, games, and multimedia resources. These materials are designed to help children develop a strong foundation in leadership, communication, entrepreneurship, and essential life skills.
Located on the 4th Floor Extension of the Bible Wonderland Complex at #14 Funsho Williams Avenue, Alaka, Lagos, the Transformation Centre will offer structured programmes that support learning, personal growth, and community engagement.
In addition to the summer programme, the centre will run ongoing training workshops focused on areas such as character development, innovation, teamwork, and practical knowledge for everyday life. According to the Foundation, these activities align with its mission to help young people “discover, develop, and unleash their potential” and become active contributors to their communities and beyond.
The PDAC Foundation acknowledged the support of the Ford Foundation and Faiththinz Community in bringing the Transformation Centre project to life.
