EHA Clinics’ flagship facility in Kano has been reaccredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI), maintaining its distinction as the only ambulatory care clinic in Sub-Saharan Africa with the prestigious global certification.
The renewal comes as the healthcare provider marks its seventh anniversary and follows a comprehensive 2025 audit that extended JCI’s scope to include dental and eye care services at the Kano site. JCI accreditation, one of the most rigorous standards in global healthcare, assesses quality, patient safety, and clinical governance.
“This reaccreditation reinforces what we’ve always stood for—excellence without compromise,” said Ifunanya Ilodibe, Chief Executive and Medical Officer at EHA Clinics. “To receive it during our anniversary season is a powerful reminder of how far we’ve come.”

JCI reaccreditation is not automatic and requires a facility to pass stringent evaluations across care delivery, operations, and patient safety. “The positive feedback, especially around our quality audit processes, validates the immense effort we’ve invested,” said Mujidat Babah, Senior Manager of Clinical Services.
Founded in 2018, EHA Clinics has expanded from a single clinic to a broader network offering integrated, tech-enabled primary care. The Kano facility’s continued recognition by JCI underscores Nigeria’s evolving role in setting quality benchmarks for outpatient services in Africa.
“We hope our journey inspires others across the region,” Ilodibe said.
