The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited says it remitted a total of N6.96 trillion in statutory payments between January and June.
Statutory payments refer to mandatory financial obligations that organisations are legally required to pay to government authorities, serving as a key source of public revenue.

These payments, whether made by individuals, businesses, or government agencies, are used to fund national development and public services.
A look into previous reports show that the Company made a statutory payment of N1.37 trillion in the month of June alone.
Payments made from January to April was N5.58 trillion and N4.22 trillion was paid from January to May.
