No fewer than 5000 less privileged individuals are to benefit from cataract surgery, drugs and eye spectacles in Hadejia Emirate as sponsored by Ahmed Abdulhamid Malam Madori, the Senator representing Jigawa North-East Constituency of Jigawa State.
This was disclosed by Yusuf Muhammad Idris, the Media aide to the senator during the ongoing exercise on Tuesday.
The beneficiaries comprises residents of Kaugama and Malam Madori local Government councils and they applauded the senator on the free eye surgery and other treatment which, according to them, became difficult to afford previously.

The statement noted that, “The programme of eye surgery, free drugs and eye spectacle initiated by the senator representing Jigawa North-East will cover the whole emirate .
“Those who are enjoying it were screened and shortlisted for them to enjoy the dividends of democracy under good representation of the senator representing Jigawa North-East Ambassador Ahmed Abdulhamid Malam Madori.
“One of the beneficiaries from Kaugama Iya Khadiza said, “he had given up as a result of the short sightedness he is experiencing but now the senator has flashed her eye for him to vote for him along with Governor Umar Namadi and continuously enjoy her livelihood.”
“Moreover, in Malam Madori local Government area, Malam Usman Kabir from Tashena ward has commended the effort of the senator on initiating the programme for the less privileged ones in the society.
Earlier, Adamu Gira, the Representative of the Senator said, “this is the beginning and always ready to support people especially less privileged on health care services delivery in the area”
