Amazing Grace Pentecostal Church, Palmgrove, Lagos, has announced the death of its general overseer and presiding bishop, Chioma Grace Dauji.
According to a statement released by the husband, Edward Baba Dauji on behalf of the Church and the family, the bishop died in the early hours of Wednesday, January 7, 2026 leaving behind a legacy of service to God and humanity.
“We take solace in the Lord and seek your prayers during this difficult time, while her burial arrangement is to be announced soon,” the statement read.
According to the statement, Dauji was a renowned figure in Christendom, and respected for her journey from a successful businesswoman to a devoted minister of the gospel, and a philanthropist.
She founded Amazing Grace Pentecostal Church Worldwide, which started humbly in Ojuelegba, Lagos, with a congregation of ‘area boys’ and less privileged individuals.
According to the statement, her ministry was characterised by rehabilitation, empowerment, and evangelism, touching the lives of many, including ex-convicts and drug addicts, widows, orphans, and youth development.
“Her legacy is marked by numerous achievements, including transforming lives, community outreach, and empowerment initiatives, notably through her Great Life Changers Foundation that annually empowered thousands of vulnerable widows, orphans, and the less privileged.”
