Saudi Arabia has told Iran it won’t allow its airspace or territory to be used for any military action against Tehran, according to AFP.
Two sources cited by AFP said the message was delivered directly to Iranian authorities, as regional tensions climb following warnings from the United States over Iran’s handling of ongoing protests.
A source close to the Saudi military said Riyadh made clear it would not participate in or facilitate any attack on Iran. Another source with knowledge of the communication confirmed the position had been formally relayed to Tehran.
The disclosure comes as the United States increases pressure on Iran, with President Donald Trump warning of possible military action if Iranian authorities escalate their crackdown on protesters. Tehran has responded by threatening to target US military and shipping assets if it comes under attack.

Trump warns Tehran over executions
The diplomatic exchanges followed fresh warnings from President Trump, who said the United States would respond forcefully if Iran carried out executions linked to the protests.
“We will take very strong action if they do such a thing,” Trump said in an interview with CBS News, referring to reports that Iranian authorities could begin hanging protesters.
Trump also repeated a message he had posted earlier on social media, saying “help is on its way” for Iranian demonstrators.
Speaking to reporters later, the president said he was awaiting a detailed briefing on the situation in Iran and would determine Washington’s response based on updated intelligence.
