Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has given the go-ahead for the immediate elevation of more than 2,000 employees of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) and the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA).
The approvals followed the successful conduct of promotion examinations held between Tuesday, November 25, and Saturday, November 29, 2025.

Confirming the development on Wednesday, Emeka Ezeh, Chairman of the FCT Civil Service Commission, disclosed that the beneficiaries of the exercise span 165 cadres across the service.
He noted that the decision underscores the minister’s resolve to prioritise staff welfare and ensure steady career advancement, assuring that promotion examinations will continue to be organised as scheduled.
Ezeh also encouraged civil servants to start preparing ahead of the 2025 and 2026 promotion exercises, emphasising that only committed and hardworking officers will be considered.
He further reaffirmed that the commission will sustain the conduct of promotion examinations through Computer-Based Tests (CBT), explaining that the approach strengthens the digital promotion framework recently introduced with the approval of the FCT Minister.
