Olamide Olajolo, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Coronation Insurance Plc, has said that a prosperous continent begins with financially secure individuals.
“Every person who purchases comprehensive coverage contributes to national resilience”, Olajolo said, adding that when families aren’t devastated by unexpected health crises or accidents, they maintain economic productivity.
He noted this while responding to a question on how the company’s customer rewards programme ‘Insure and Win 2.0’ fits into its broader vision for transforming the continent.
Speaking further, he said that “when businesses have proper protection, they survive setbacks and continue generating employment. This campaign accelerates that transformation by making protection rewarding, not just responsible”.
Olajolo further noted that insurance penetration in Nigeria remains stubbornly low despite obvious vulnerabilities, adding that people postpone crucial decisions, thinking they’ll address protection later.
He said, “This campaign removes that psychological barrier. It says, act now, protect yourself today, and here’s something extra for your decisiveness. We’re transforming hesitation into action”.
In his view on what makes Coronation Insurance’s approach to customer rewards different from competitors, the CEO simply said, “We don’t view rewards as marketing gimmicks; we see them as tangible expressions of partnership. When you choose Coronation, you are not just another policy number. You are a prosperity partner whose smart decisions deserve recognition. This campaign embodies that philosophy – your foresight in protecting yourself should come with celebration, not just paperwork”.
While responding to why Coronation Insurance launched ‘Insure and Win 2.0’ during the festive season, he said: “The festive period naturally brings reflection on what truly matters – family, security, future plans”. “We wanted to meet Nigerians at this moment of contemplation with a compelling proposition: protect what you value most and potentially win rewards that make your celebration even brighter. It’s about aligning financial prudence with festive joy,” he added.
In his message to Nigerians considering participation as we head into 2026, Olajolo said, “Don’t let another year pass without proper protection. The risks you’re avoiding by delaying insurance don’t disappear; they compound. This promotion offers something rare – immediate gratification for long-term planning. Secure your assets, protect your family, and stand a chance to win exceptional prizes. Start 2026 with both security and celebration. That’s what prosperity partnership delivers”.
Speaking on the strategic thinking behind purchasing products from both Coronation Insurance and Coronation Life Assurance, Olajolo said, “Comprehensive protection isn’t one-dimensional. Your car needs coverage, certainly, but so does your health, your children’s education, and your retirement. By encouraging customers to engage with both companies, we’re promoting holistic financial planning. True security comes from multiple layers of protection, not isolated policies”.
