The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has dismantled terrorist networks in the Timbuktu Triangle of Lake Chad, destroying hideouts and logistics facilities in AbbagaJiri during a precision air operation.
The operation, conducted under the joint task force of Operation HADIN KAI, targeted confirmed terrorist positions, structures, and concealed logistics facilities, based on actionable, multi-source intelligence.

According to a statement by Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information on Saturday, air assets were deployed in integrated surveillance and precision strike roles, aimed at degrading terrorist capabilities, denying them sanctuary, and preparing the battlefield for advancing ground forces.
Commenting on the success, Sunday Aneke, Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), highlighted the NAF’s strategic focus on dominating the air domain to support joint operations.
“This operation demonstrates our unwavering commitment to delivering precise and decisive airpower in support of ground forces.
“We will continue to deny terrorists freedom of movement, sanctuary, and logistics wherever they seek to hide,” he said.
Reports from the theatre indicate that key terrorist structures were destroyed, effectively restricting enemy movement and disrupting their operations.
“A follow-up engagement neutralised armed elements attempting to converge on the location. Ground troops later confirmed the effectiveness of the air strikes, validating the success of the joint air–land operation”, it added.
Aneke reiterated that NAF air operations would remain relentless and intelligence-driven.
“Our operations are carefully planned and intelligence-led, ensuring maximum effect on hostile elements while safeguarding innocent civilians.
“The Nigerian Air Force will sustain pressure until terrorist networks are completely dismantled,” he affirmed.
