Induze Tech Foundation (ITF) has received approval from the FCT Secondary Education Board (FCT-SEB) to establish and operate a Computer-Based Test (CBT) Centre at Government Secondary School, Gwarimpa, Life Camp, Abuja.
The approval marks a step in efforts to expand access to computer-based examinations and digital assessment services within public secondary schools in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The centre will support examinations conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), alongside other digital assessment activities for students.
According to the approval, the management of the FCT Secondary Education Board has granted Induze Tech Foundation permission to set up the CBT Centre within GSS Gwarimpa, with the school providing a suitable hall for the project. The arrangement allows the Foundation to deploy the required infrastructure while working within the existing school environment.
Speaking on the development, the founder of Induze Tech Foundation, Nwabueze Stanley Chilaka, described the approval as a milestone in the organisation’s work to improve access to technology-based education and assessment for secondary school students.
“This approval reflects the confidence of the FCT Education Board in our capacity to deliver a secure, efficient, and student-friendly CBT environment. The centre will not only serve as an examination facility but also as a hub for digital literacy and life skills development,” the Foundation noted.
The CBT Centre is expected to reduce pressure on existing examination facilities across Abuja and limit the need for candidates to travel long distances to sit for examinations. It is also expected to help students become more familiar with computer-based testing, which has become a standard requirement within Nigeria’s education system.
Induze Tech Foundation is a non-profit organisation focused on education and technology inclusion. Its work includes promoting computer science education and digital skills among young people. The CBT Centre project aligns with its goal of preparing students for a future shaped by technology while supporting public education reforms.
The Foundation has been directed to provide regular progress updates to the ICT Unit of the FCT Secondary Education Board during the implementation phase.
Education stakeholders have welcomed the initiative, noting its potential to support examination processes, build student confidence, and strengthen digital infrastructure in public schools. With preparations underway, the GSS Gwarimpa CBT Centre is expected to become operational ahead of upcoming examination cycles.
