Cavista Technologies, a portfolio company of Cavista Holdings, has announced the fourth edition of its annual Cavista Technologies Hackathon.
The hackathon is open to undergraduates from tertiary institutions in Lagos and its environs who possess relevant tech skills and a strong passion for innovation.
The event is designed to ignite creativity, collaboration, and cutting-edge problem-solving among undergraduate students by offering them a platform to design and build innovative solutions to real-world challenges.
Oyebola Morakinyo, general manager of Cavista Technologies, said the 2026 edition promises to surpass previous editions in scope and impact.
She disclosed that the hackathon will be open to students from six tertiary institutions across Lagos State and neighbouring areas. “At Cavista Tech, our goal is to discover, empower, and celebrate Nigeria’s tech talents by providing a platform where young innovators and enthusiasts can showcase their creative and problem-solving skills.

“Through this initiative, we foster collaboration, entrepreneurship, and digital transformation,” Morakinyo stated.
Participants will work in teams during an intensive 24-hour hackathon spread across two days, showcasing their creativity, technical expertise, and teamwork while competing for millions of naira in cash prizes for winners and runners-up.
The hackathon is set to hold from February 21 to 22, and interested students are encouraged to apply, with applications subject to screening and shortlisting before final team selection.
The event will also run simultaneously in Cavista’s global offices in the United States, India, and Botswana, highlighting the company’s international footprint.
Dignitaries expected at the Lagos event include Ayodele Olawande, minister of Youth Development; Iyinoluwa Aboyeji, co-founder of Andela and Future Africa; as well as other industry leaders and stakeholders from across the technology ecosystem.
