Five persons have been confirmed dead and 13 others injured following a fresh road accident in Langtang North Local Government Area of Plateau State, deepening concerns over the rising spate of fatal crashes across the state.
The accident occurred in the early hours of Sunday, around 3 a.m., at the Zangzat Roundabout in Langtang, involving a trailer transporting marketers from Shendam to Jos, the Plateau State capital.
The incident came less than six days after a multiple-vehicle crash involving a fuel-laden tanker and five other vehicles near St. Louis College, close to the Polo Field Club roundabout in Jos, which left two people dead and 16 others injured.
