Babatunde Agunbiade, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA, Alimosho, Lagos State, and a renowned philanthropist has called on Nigerians to work together for peace, development, national cohesion and look beyond differences in the new year.
While encouraging Nigerians to set clear goals, work hard and stay resilient in pursuit of their dreams, he said that unity and shared values remain Nigeria’s strongest foundation for progress.
Agunbiade, who is founder of Agunbiade Babatunde Foundation (ADABA), while extending his New Year greetings, said that Nigerians must never lose faith in the strength of our unity and the promise of a better future.
“The New Year reminds us that every challenge is an opportunity, every setback a lesson, and every act of service a seed for a brighter future. Let us embrace 2026 with renewed hope, working together to uplift our families, our neighborhoods, and our constituency,” he said.
He called on leaders at all levels to lead with empathy and responsibility, show compassion, especially to the less privileged and the needy in the society.
“As we step into the New Year, the ADABA Foundation extends heartfelt greetings to the people of Alimosho Federal Constituency. This is a time for reflection, renewed hope, and commitment to the growth and wellbeing of our community.
EmphasizIng that 2026 offers a fresh opportunity for unity, service, and collective progress, he encouraged all residents to embody the principles of love, service, and compassion, values that reflect both the APC’s commitment to inclusive governance and the spirit of community at the heart of Alimosho.
Agunbiade also acknowledged the inspiration and leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and his mentor, Bisi Yusuf, a prominent Nigerian politician, apex APC leader in Alimosho, and Director-General of the Grassroots Movement for Tinubu 2027 (GMT), for his guidance and mentorship along his political journey saying his guidance continues to shape his dedication to grassroots development and people-centered politics.
“With the lessons we have learned and the bonds we have strengthened, let us enter this year committed to service, unity, and progress. Together, as one constituency, we can turn hope into tangible results for all residents of Alimosho,” Agunbiade added.
“Our passion for service is deeply inspired by the exemplary leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the national leader of the APC, whose vision for inclusive governance continues to shape progressive politics in Nigeria.”
As part of the Foundation’s welfare and humanitarian outreach, Agunbiade Babatunde facilitated the distribution of Christmas food packages to less-privileged residents across Alimosho, reinforcing his long-standing commitment to grassroots support and community upliftment.
He stated that the initiative underscores the belief that true celebration is incomplete without sharing hope and relief with those in need.
