President Bola Tinubu is currently presiding over a meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
BusinessDay gathered that the FEC has one major item on its agenda: to consider and approve the 2026 Appropriation Bill before forwarding it to the National Assembly.
Once passed by the National Assembly, the bill becomes law upon presidential assent.
The President is therefore mandated to sign the bill to make it an Act of Parliament.
