On the ladies’ side, Oyewo displayed exceptional skill to win the Best Ladies’ Individual Stableford with a total of 29 points.
Speaking at the event, Chairman of the NBCC Golf Committee, Tayo Babalakin, said the annual tournament is designed to promote networking and foster strong business relationships among participants.
“This competition has been organised over the years as a platform for both members and non-members to come together in camaraderie to enjoy the game of golf, learn, interact and build relationships,” Babalakin said.
“More importantly, it is a business connection platform that enables participants to meet new people with whom they can do business.”
He described golf as a “golden choice”, noting that the sport offers a calm and serene environment, free from the pressures and tension often associated with business leadership.
Babalakin further revealed that about 120 amateur golfers, drawn from 25 corporate sponsors, competed for honours at the 11th edition of the tournament.
“We fielded about 120 golfers today, of which between 25 and 28 were ladies, while the rest were men,” he explained.
