As part of its 2021–2025 strategic plan, the post-Covid transformation undertaken by Jeune Afrique Media Group is bearing fruit, with solid growth supported by the rise in digital and event revenues. Consolidated revenue for the 2024 fiscal year exceeded €30 million (€30.03M), up 6% compared to 2023. Over the past two years, the editorial transformation of the Group’s titles (Jeune Afrique, The Africa Report and Africa Business) has been built on a deliberate choice: prioritizing quality over quantity, backed by strengthened newsrooms that now include sector analysts, data journalists and an expanded fact-checking team.
Since its creation in Tunis in 1960, Jeune Afrique Media Group has played a central role in the African information ecosystem. Its readership – primarily pan-African, both on the continent and within the diasporas – constitutes the core of its audience, with a significant proportion of African readers regularly consulting the Group’s titles: Jeune Afrique, The Africa Report, Africa Business+, among others. The Group has long served as a bridge to the international arena for national newsrooms across Africa, strengthening ties between the continent and the rest of the world. A pioneer in digital transformation and the development of premium editorial formats, Jeune Afrique Media Group also helps showcase local expertise and reinforces the capacity of African editorial teams to cover cross-border issues with rigorous standards.
JAMG’s repositioning is accompanied by strong commercial momentum, driven notably by the growth of the subscriptions department. Across all publications, the B2B portfolio has increased by more than 25%, with growing enthusiasm among professionals in finance, law and industry. The specialized publication Africa Business+ recorded double-digit growth in corporate subscriptions in the first half of 2025, boosted by its sector rankings and deal-tracking coverage, which have become essential references for business lawyers and experts in the African mining industry.
The Group now counts 32,000 digital subscribers and reaches more than 3.2 million monthly online readers, nearly two-thirds of whom are senior executives from pan-African and international companies. Editorial innovation and the digitalization of the titles have deeply reshaped the revenue structure of the media division: digital now accounts for 40% of total revenue.
Thanks to stronger synergies between the Group’s editorial teams and its events division, the Africa CEO Forum and the Africa Financial Summit (AFIS) have established themselves as indispensable platforms for dialogue among business and political leaders on the continent. The 2025 edition of the Africa CEO Forum, held in Abidjan, brought together nearly 3,000 executives. The most recent edition of AFIS – focused on African financial sovereignty – took place in Casablanca on 3–4 November. Building on its successes in finance and the private sector, JAMG has also launched a new event program, LEAD, aimed at bringing together the next generation of African senior public servants around world-class public policy practices.
“We have chosen to focus, and not expand, the model that has made Jeune Afrique successful since its creation in 1960. The strong performance of our corporate subscriptions, the growth of our digital revenues and the record attendance at our events all confirm the relevance of this strategy. Jeune Afrique remains the reference newspaper for African decision-makers and, more broadly, for all those for whom the continent occupies a central place in their work,” said Amir Ben Yahmed, CEO of Jeune Afrique Media Group.
