TTemu, the global e-commerce fast mover, has formally partnered with Lagos-based logistics startup Dellyman to drive same-day and last-mile deliveries across Nigeria, marking a strategic push into one of Africa’s largest online retail markets.
The collaboration follows a pilot phase in which Dellyman completed 1,300 deliveries with a 95% success rate, a performance that convinced Temu of the startup’s ability to handle high-volume operations in Nigeria’s complex logistics landscape.
Founded in 2020, Dellyman has quickly emerged as a key player in Nigeria’s last-mile delivery space. The startup recently hit 10,000 orders in a single month (November 2025), bringing its cumulative deliveries to over 300,000, demonstrating capacity and reliability that attracted Temu’s attention.
Through the partnership, Temu customers in Nigeria are expected to benefit from faster, more predictable, and more transparent deliveries—a crucial factor in customer retention as e-commerce order volumes continue to rise. Dellyman’s tech-driven approach, spanning rider management, route optimization, and real-time customer visibility, was a decisive factor in the selection.
“Our partnership with Temu validates the operational standards we’ve built and signals a new era for Nigeria’s logistics sector,” said Dare Ojo-Bello, Founder and CEO of Dellyman. “Achieving a 95% success rate during the pilot shows that local startups can meet and exceed global expectations.”
Ojo-Bello emphasized that the partnership is about more than operational scale—it reflects a shift in how international e-commerce players perceive Nigerian logistics capabilities. “This is about reshaping perceptions and proving that homegrown delivery platforms can operate at international standards while empowering local businesses,” he added.
Dellyman plans to continue investing in fleet expansion, merchant tools, and delivery infrastructure to ensure seamless service for Temu and other online retailers entering Nigeria.
Analysts say the Temu–Dellyman partnership could accelerate urban e-commerce fulfillment, reduce delays, and strengthen consumer trust in cross-border online marketplaces, while positioning Dellyman as a go-to logistics partner for other global brands eyeing Nigeria.
As online shopping adoption rises, Temu’s choice of a local partner underscores growing confidence in Nigeria’s logistics ecosystem and signals a potential turning point for how international e-commerce platforms navigate Africa’s delivery challenges.
