Coscharis Motors, the exclusive representative of Renault in Nigeria, has introduced two new models that combine modern design, advanced safety features, and performance for both urban and rough-terrain driving.
The addition of the Renault Koleos and Kardian to the company’s portfolio reflects the continued expansion of global automotive brands in Nigeria, with a focus on locally available models that meet evolving market demands.
The two Renault models were officially unveiled by Oluwemimo Joseph Osanipin, director-general of the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC), amongst other dignitaries who attended the launch right at the Coscharis pavilion.
At the launch, Abiona Babarinde, General Manager of Marketing and Corporate Communications at Coscharis Group, highlighted the company’s goal to enhance the automotive market with vehicles that blend advanced technology, safety, and stylish design.
Babarinde noted that the new Renault Koleos and Kardian reflect the brand’s global reputation for engineering innovation and design excellence, tailored to the needs of Nigerian drivers.
“Coscharis is super excited to deliver these two new variants from our Renault brand to the Nigerian market at this time of the year, where both private and public sector players can end the year with a purchase of a brand new vehicle. Likewise, a great opportunity for potential fleet buyers working on their 2026 procurement budget to put the new vehicles in their purchasing plans.
“Coscharis as usual with the great support of our Renault partner will equally deliver the ‘peace of mind’ on every purchase of any of our Renault variants with a 3 year Warranty, originalParts that will be fixed with the right tools by certified Renault technicians,” he said, noting that the purchase experience is complemented by a finance scheme provided by Coscharis Mobility, a sister company, aimed at making the vehicles financially accessible.
One of the highlights of the event was the exclusive test-drive tour of the newly launched models by the NADDC DG, who took the vehicles on a performance drive within the exhibition ground.
Osanipin commended the vehicles for their performance, engineering, and handling, reinforcing Renault’s dedication to delivering durable, tech-forward, and comfortable vehicles for Nigeria’s terrain.
“I commend both Coscharis and their partner, Renault, for these two new additions to their portfolio for Nigerians to enjoy a good ride with a reliable brand like Renault.
“However, my wish as the DG of NADDC which I know Coscharis has been a great supporter and player in the Nigerian market is that these two new models will be added to the existing models to be locally assembled in their ultra, modern assembly plant in Lagos,” he said, adding that by this feat, Nigerians can be able to own the vehicles at a cheaper price and hereby improve local content for the automotive sector to support the government efforts in that line.
Additionally, Leticia Onuzulike, Sales Manager for Coscharis Motors, outlined the features of the new models, describing the Koleos as a mid-size SUV that combines comfort, advanced safety technology, and robust performance for both urban and off-road use. The Kardian, she added, is a compact SUV designed for efficiency, connectivity, and dynamic driving, appealing to modern, style-conscious drivers.
Coscharis Motors reaffirmed its ongoing commitment to delivering quality vehicles to Nigerians, supported by comprehensive after-sales service and nationwide technical support.
The company noted that the Abuja International Motor Fair continues to play a crucial role in deepening the growth of the automotive sector, fostering industry collaboration, and promoting Nigeria’s vehicle assembly and automotive policy objectives.
