Egeonu Victor, the founder and chief executive officer at Egeonu Gadgets, is one of the young Nigerians reshaping the tech retail space through innovation, consistency, and quality service.
Victor’s journey into the gadget world began as early as 2014 when he was still in secondary school. What started as a hobby, helping family and neighbours fix and set up their devices, grew into a passion that would later become a thriving business.
After completing his course of study in Environmental Management and technology at Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Umuahia in 2024, he officially branded and registered Egeonu Gadgets in 2025.
For Victor, tech has always been a natural calling. His love for gadgets started as a child, between ages 10 and 15, when he found joy in solving technical problems.
Over time, that early curiosity became the driving force behind his decision to turn his passion into a business.
“I’ve always had the zeal for gadgets and technology,” he recalls. “I started small, saving what I could. My involvement in student politics as a course representative for five years also helped me raise some funds to start my brand. From there, I’ve grown massively.”

Like many entrepreneurs, Victor has faced his share of challenges. “This business is all about challenges,” he admits. “But I always try to resolve issues with the mindset of retaining my customers while reducing losses.”
His business philosophy is Quality Attracts Quantity. According to him, selling genuine, high-quality products has been his most effective strategy in standing out from competitors.
Egeonu Gadgets deals in premium mobile devices and accessories, including iPhones, Samsung, and Android products. His customers are people who value authenticity over cheap alternatives. To maintain quality, Victor sources directly from trusted suppliers in China and other countries, with every item going through a strict verification process before sale.
He also highlights the role of social media in growing his business. “Online platforms have been a big part of my journey,” he says. “I model my items myself and handle all promotions personally. It saves cost and builds trust with customers.”
Beyond sales, the company offers solid after-sales services. “If an item under warranty develops an issue, we repair or replace it,” Victor explains.
One of his proudest moments came in 2024 when he made a single sale worth N10.5 million. As for the future, Victor’s goals are to keep growing every day, month, and year. His advice to aspiring entrepreneurs in the gadget industry is this: “Nothing good comes easy. This business has its ups and downs, but if you stay consistent, there’s so much to gain.”
Through his focus on quality and customer satisfaction, Victor Egeonu continues to prove that with passion, persistence, and the right strategy, young Nigerians can build sustainable tech-driven businesses from the ground up.
