Juventus have confirmed the appointment of Luciano Spalletti as their new head coach, following the dismissal of Igor Tudor earlier this week.
Spalletti, Juventus’s top choice to replace Tudor, has signed a short-term deal until the end of the 2025/26 season, with an option to extend if the club qualifies for next season’s UEFA Champions League. According to reports, he will earn around €3 million per season.

Juventus parted ways with Tudor after a dismal run of form that saw the team go eight matches without a win in all competitions, losing three consecutive games and failing to score in their last four. Their last victory came in a 4-3 win over Inter Milan on September 13.
Reports in Italy suggest Tudor’s exit was also influenced by internal disagreements with the club’s hierarchy, including general manager Damien Comolli, over transfer policy, staff appointments, and his communication style with the media.
In a statement, Juventus said, “Luciano Spalletti is the new head coach of Juventus, signing an agreement with the club until June 30, 2026. We are delighted to welcome a coach with such expertise and experience to the Bianconeri family.”
Spalletti, born in Certaldo in 1959, brings over three decades of coaching experience, having managed Roma, Inter Milan, and Napoli, where he famously led the Partenopei to the 2022/23 Serie A title. He most recently served as head coach of the Italian national team until June 2025.
The 65-year-old will now be tasked with reviving Juventus’s season and guiding the club back into contention for domestic and European honours.
