In a landmark celebration of educators’ impact on society, an event hosted by 1 Million Teachers (1MT) with Erudio Hub as technical partner, achieved a historic milestone of setting a Guinness World Record for the largest gathering of teachers, with a verified attendance of 5,082 participants.
Erudo Hub, led by Akin Akinpelu, served as the official technical and strategy partner for the Let There Be Teachers (LTBT) Conference 2025.
Speaking on the achievement, Akinpelu described the record as a triumph of purpose rather than numbers.
“This milestone is a tribute to the resilience and indispensable role of teachers. At Erudio Hub, we’re proud to have built the strategic and technical architecture that made this vision a global reality,” he said.
From conceptualiSation to execution, Erudio Hub designed and managed the entire lifecycle of the conference—driving strategy, logistics, communications, and stakeholder engagement.
The buildup to the event featured advocacy programmes such as the School Growth Forum and Walk for Teachers campaigns, which mobilised educators and heightened public awareness across several Nigerian states.
Themed, ‘Teachers Matter: Celebrating the Role of Teachers in Enhancing Quality Education,’ the LTBT 2025 Conference brought together over five thousand teachers, policymakers, development partners, and education advocates to amplify teacher voices and influence policy direction.
At the close of the event, a communiqué was issued calling for legislative action to strengthen teacher welfare, improve curriculum design, and accelerate education reform across Africa.
Hakeem Subair, CEO of 1 Million Teachers, described the conference as a resounding declaration uniting educator, partners, and believers under one sky to affirm a simple truth: teachers matter.
Oluwaseyi Anifowose, convener of LTBT and director of Partnerships at 1MT, credited the success of the historic gathering to Erudio Hub’s strategic leadership.
“Let There Be Teachers was born from the conviction that teachers deserve a global stage of honour. This historic reality was made possible by the strategic excellence of our partner, Erudio Hub,” Anifowose said.
Zainab Yussuff, project manager and head of partnerships at Erudio Hub, said: “Seeing thousands of teachers united by one shared vision of hope and pride was deeply moving. It reinforces why education must remain Africa’s greatest investment.”
Erudio Hub extended appreciation to the Lagos State Government, sponsors, media partners, and the Central Working Committee for their collaboration in turning the vision into history.
A profit-based organization with a strong social impact focus, Erudio Hub is committed to transforming education across Africa through its flagship Seven Star Programme, which accelerates growth for teachers and students alike.
