Lagos will host some of Africa’s most dynamic thinkers and innovators later this month as Vesti Technologies, a migration and finance infrastructure company, launches the Prosper Conference 2025, a two-day convening designed to explore how ideas, technology, and mobility can power the continent’s next wave of growth.
Themed “Roots to Riches: Africa Climbing,” the conference, scheduled for October 23–24 at the Landmark Event Centre, aims to connect African ambition with global opportunity. From policymakers to founders and investors, participants will examine how migration and enterprise can reshape Africa’s economic trajectory in the 21st century.
At a time when Africa is home to the world’s youngest population and one of the fastest-growing innovation ecosystems, Prosper Con seeks to address a central question: how can the continent translate its demographic advantage into sustained prosperity?
“Prosper Con is more than a conference—it’s a bridge between Africa’s ambition and global opportunity,” said Olusola Amusan, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Vesti. “We want to move beyond ideas and convert insight into measurable impact.”
The event’s keynote stage will feature prominent voices including Olakunle Soriyan, global strategist and author; Olusola and Abimbola Amusan, co-founders of Vesti; and Tubosun Alake, Lagos State Commissioner for Innovation, Science and Technology. Discussions will span topics such as digital finance, migration infrastructure, and the role of technology in inclusive development.
But Prosper Con is not just about dialogue — it is about discovery. The Prosper Pitch Competition will give early-stage founders the chance to compete for a $5,000 grant, while the Prosper Awards will recognise innovators and organisations advancing Africa’s progress in technology, migration, and the creative industries.
An exhibition marketplace will showcase emerging startups and corporate partners unveiling products that strengthen Africa’s digital economy. Meanwhile, curated networking sessions will link diaspora leaders, investors, and entrepreneurs to forge new partnerships.
The conference will also celebrate Africa’s creative energy through cultural performances, live storytelling, and art showcases — a reminder that culture and commerce are increasingly intertwined in Africa’s rise.
“Africa is not waiting to rise; it is already shaping the global economy,” said Abimbola Amusan, Vesti’s Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer. “Prosper Con is designed to make that reality visible and actionable.”
For Vesti Technologies, Prosper Con represents a natural extension of its mission to build secure, compliant digital infrastructure for migration and cross-border finance. The company helps Africans move, pay, and thrive across borders — with operations spanning the United States, United Kingdom, and Africa.
“Prosper Con is about connecting aspiration to access,” added Olusola Amusan. “It’s a space for visionaries from Africa and the diaspora to collaborate and accelerate shared prosperity.”
As global attention shifts toward Africa’s potential as a frontier of innovation, gatherings like Prosper Con underscore the continent’s growing confidence — not just as a market of the future, but as a driver of global progress today.
