Mek Experts has marked its third anniversary, highlighting progress in Nigeria’s AutoTech space through its door-to-door vehicle repair and pre-owned car marketplace.
Founded in 2021, the company has delivered technology-driven vehicle repair and maintenance services to thousands of Nigerians. Over the three years, it has serviced and repaired more than 2,000 vehicles across Lagos. Mek Experts has also built partnerships with original equipment manufacturers and local spare-part vendors to supply quality parts with warranty-backed repair services.
The company has expanded into the pre-owned vehicle segment, developing a marketplace that enables buyers and sellers to transact with confidence. It has also created a network of mobile and specialised auto-repair experts for different vehicle brands. Its services support corporate fleets and small businesses, offering a model that reduces downtime and improves operational efficiency.
Speaking at an anniversary event in Lagos, the company’s Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Deji Olatunji, said: “When we launched Mek Experts three years ago, our vision was clear — to disrupt the traditional automobile service model with innovation, transparency, and convenience. Today, we are proud to have begun redefining how Nigerians experience auto repair, inspection, and car ownership. But this is only the beginning. We are positioning Mek Experts for the future of mobility in Nigeria and beyond.”
As part of the anniversary, Mek Experts presented its Vision 2030 Roadmap. The plan includes expanding its door-to-door auto repair model into 10 Nigerian cities by 2027, launching a green mobility programme focused on electric vehicle readiness, compressed natural gas retrofits and sustainable solutions. It also aims to scale its pre-owned car marketplace into a nationwide platform and to establish training programmes to upskill mechanics and engineers in the AutoTech field.
Olatunji acknowledged the role of customers, partners and staff in the company’s growth. He said: “We are here because of the trust of our customers, the dedication of our network of mechanic experts and staff, and the support of our partners. Together, we are building an ecosystem that not only addresses today’s auto challenges but also prepares Nigeria for the mobility future.”
