WealthBridge Asset Management Limited has secured a vote of confidence from Nigeria’s two leading credit rating agencies, Agusto & Co. and DataPro Limited, which both upgraded the company’s investment ratings on the back of stronger governance structures, improved risk management, and robust liquidity.
DataPro, a Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)-licensed credit rating agency, lifted WealthBridge’s long-term investment rating from BBB to BBB+, citing the firm’s stable management team, good liquidity, and very good capitalisation.
In a similar move, Agusto & Co. upgraded the firm’s standing from BBB- to BBB, applauding its experienced decision-making committee, documented risk management practices, and improved organisational structure.
The dual rating upgrades position WealthBridge among the steadily rising players in Nigeria’s asset management landscape, signalling improved resilience at a time when investors and regulators are paying closer attention to transparency, governance, and sustainable growth.
Ahmed Adekunle Lawal, group chief executive officer of WealthBridge Financial Services (Holdings) Limited, said the recognition validates the company’s deliberate approach to governance.
“These independent ratings affirm our commitment to building a credible, resilient, and forward-thinking financial services group. At WealthBridge, we are intentional about transparency, corporate governance, and market leadership, and this recognition reinforces our journey toward becoming a trusted partner in wealth creation in Nigeria,” Lawal stated.
Adebola Bhadmus, managing director of WealthBridge Asset Management, added that the rating upgrade reflects the discipline behind the company’s investment processes.
“The rating upgrade reflects the hard work we’ve invested in building a top-tier asset management company, one rooted in risk-managed growth, disciplined investment processes, and client-centric solutions. We are proud of our team and remain committed to maintaining the highest standards in everything we do,” Bhadmus said.
