SoftPro Mixer, a closed-door networking event for tech professionals, is set to hold its second edition in Kigali, Rwanda, on Saturday, 30 August 2025. The first edition was held in Lagos, Nigeria, earlier this year.
The Kigali event will host up to 500 selected participants from across Africa, including senior software engineers, product managers, designers, founders, investors, and recruiters. Sectors represented will include fintech, edtech, SaaS, logistics, and healthtech.
“The intention behind SoftPro Mixer has always been to prioritise quality connections,” said Young Ukpong, Founder of WAYLC Hub and organiser of the event. “We are creating spaces where talent, opportunity, and capital can meet in a more authentic and impactful way.”
Unlike large conferences, SoftPro Mixer focuses on curated connections and deeper engagement. The programme will feature panel sessions, product demos, fireside chats, and informal gatherings. Participants will have access to curated networking, speed networking, and one-on-one matchups aimed at fostering collaboration.
The event will also include a Demo Corner showcasing African technology products, a recruitment meet-and-greet, and community moments with music, games, and conversations.
Zedi Inc has been announced as the official media partner for the Kigali edition. The partnership will focus on increasing visibility for the event and spotlighting emerging ideas and collaborations.
As part of a wider strategy, SoftPro Mixer aims to support cross-border relationships among African tech professionals. The organisers hope to build a more connected ecosystem by encouraging knowledge sharing, mobility, and investment dialogue.
The event is invite-only and will continue its commitment to bringing together Africa’s tech talent and those supporting their growth.
