Adaeze is the founder and executive director of Africa Oral Health Fund for Children (AOHFund), a venture philanthropy, non-profit fund and an impact initiative of the Toothfairy Company, Africa with an initial 5-year mission to ensure that children from the most deprived communities in Nigeria and regions in Africa have access to proper oral health care and education, and do not suffer from preventable and treatable tropical oral health diseases- NOMA and periodontitis.
The ToothFairy Company, Africa is a family- oriented, children’s oral health, play-learn, and entertainment company promoting proper oral hygiene in kids, celebrating growth milestones and preserving childhood memories through children’s products, services, oral health education and advocacy. The programme aims to reach 50,000 children in government-owned (public) and private, nursery and primary schools across select states in Nigeria.
There is also the ‘Brighter, Healthier Smiles’ programme, which is an oral health education programme designed to educate children between the ages 4 and 12 in underserved communities on proper oral hygiene, nutrition and well-being through demonstrative play-based lessons/activities and free dental screening and oral care products whilst advocating for the inclusion of extensive and practical oral health lessons in the health education curricula.
That isn’t all there is to Adaeze. Also, she is the founder of the Millennial Philanthropy Network (MPN), a collective of credible voices of change embracing generosity, serving as ethical stewards and driven by a common objective- greater impact and thriving communities in Africa.
