The Senatorial Candidate of the Action Alliance (AA) for Ondo North District of Ondo state, Tunji Abayomi won at the polling unit of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu in Owo.
Abayomi, who is believed to be the preferred Candidate of the governor got 205 votes to defeat the APC Candidate,Prof.Ajayi Boroffice who scored 60 votes.
However, in the presidential results, President Muhammadu Buhari scored 242 votes as against the 62 votes garnered by PDP’s Atiku Abubakar.
Also, the APC Candidate for Owo/Ose Federal constituency,Timihin Adelegbe won at the governor’s unit by scoring 213 votes to defeat Sodiq Obanoyen of the PDP who got 51 votes.
Akeredolu had expressed his dissatisfaction to the emergence of Boroffice,who was given automatic ticket as the candidate of the APC in the district.
