President Muhammadu Buhari will tomorrow, Friday, sign Executive Order 007 of 2019, dealing with Road Infrastructure Development and Refurbishment Investment Tax Credit Scheme.
The event which comes up at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja, is expected to open up opportunities for investors who may want to finance infrastructure development, with tax credit, as part of the incentives.
Federal government had recently posited that the country will need about $3trillion to adequately develop infrastructures in Nigeria to world standards.
Executive Orders signed by the President have full legal effects and are described as “a rule of order issued by the President to the executive branch of government and having the force of law”.
President Buhari’s administration has so far issued six Executive Orders, since the inception of this administration in May, 2015, in line with Sections 5, 36 and 43 of the constitution, which deals with Powers of the President.
