As the 2019 elections draw nearer, a Makurdi based business man and Tax consultant, Peter Tyough has appealed to people of Benue state to return Governor Samuel Ortom back to the Benue Peoples House in view of his sterling performance in office.
Tyough in a press statement made available to newsmen in Makurdi, pointed out that it is only when Ortom is given a second term that he will consolidate on the achievements already recorded.
He noted that the state under the leadership of Governor Ortom has witnessed unprecedented turn-around in sectors such as health care delivery, education, massive infrastructural facilities as well as improvement in agricultural sector like never before.
According to business who holds the Chieftaincy titles of “Akinde U Kwande” and “Tsar U Kyurav” worldwide, in spite of the security challenges confronting Benue State at the moment, the Governor has well registered his imprint on the sand of history.
He maintained that the demonstration of courage in handling state affairs during the volatile situation the State has found herself in is enough conviction that the Governor on divine mandate hence, he should be given another tenure to continue with the good work of repositioning Benue State.
In a related development, Chibee has called on the electorate to vote for only credible, purposeful, resourceful, visionary and dynamic candidates who will not abandon them once they get elected.
He therefore, made case for the election of the incumbent Chairman, Benue State Internal Revenue Service, Mimi Orubibi-Azape as the next Senator for Benue North East Senatorial District.
Chibee said the need to give Mimi the mandate of Benue North East Senate seat becomes necessary as she possessed all the attributes of a good ambassador of the people given her humane disposition to the plight of the needy.
