Goldmine Global Services Limited and Conduit Communication recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Lagos to facilitate bilateral trade with Indonesia towards balancing the volume of trade with one of the leading Asian markets geared towards opening the market to Nigerian business communities for the forth-coming 32nd Indonesia Trade Expo.
The MoU signed between both companies will provide bilateral business solutions to facilitate trade and investment towards inviting Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) inflow into Nigeria.
Ishmael Balogun, CEO Goldmine Global Services, said the MoU is to help Nigerian business community understand the international business environment, and what they can benefit by collaborating with Indonesian companies.
According to Ishmael, Goldmine started as a manufacturing company with a vision of empowering Nigerians, one family at a time. “Goldmine has diversified its operation. We have helped to established over 100 factories in the last decade with focus on the FMCGs line of production,” he said.
Ishmael opined that the ability to think globally is needed to play in the international market place. There is beauty in collaboration if Nigerian companies can seize the opportunity available to them through the Indonesia Trade Expo,” he stated.
Victor Gotevbe, CEO, Conduit communication in his remarks said the Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) is Indonesia’s largest Business-to-Business trade event showcasing the best of Indonesia. “Indonesia is the largest archipelago in the world export products. TEI is the main international trade event in Indonesia with strong participation from both business and high level government,” he said.
According to him, the 31st TEI attracted over 15,000 visitors across 10 countries generating a total trade transactions valued at US$ 1.07 billion. “The Indonesia Ministry of Trade has been preparing the latest annual series of Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) 2017 to be the Right Business Platform for buyers, traders, investors and business visitors from all over the world,” Victor stated.
Michael Aboderin, GM, Goldmine Global Services in his address said Indonesia is one of the fastest growing countries in the emerging economies. “Indonesia is set to be the new trade tourism and investment destination for the forward-looking buyers and traders amidst uncertainties of economic and political changes in many parts of the world.”
According to him, “More than one thousand exhibitors with an extensive range of export-oriented product categories are really a strong base for exploring business opportunities, sourcing new products for global market,” he said.
Trade Expo Indonesia is an annual event hosted by the Directorate General National Export Development (DGNED) Ministry of Trade of Republic of Indonesia and combines regional discussions with business matching and a trade and investment forum.
The 32nd TEI, which will be held between October 11 to 15, will take place at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE), a new 220,000 square meter venue, located in the heart of BSD City, Greater Jakarta, and will be declare open by Joko Widodo, President of the Republic of Indonesia.
