Martell, one of the best cognac houses in the world, is entering the African luxury goods market with the launch of the prestige line for Martell Cognac comprising L’or Martell, Cognac XO, V.S.O.P Medallion, Chivas among others.
The luxury cognac goes for N1million a bottle for the prestige brand that comes in a suitcase-like box, N500,000 and N60,000 for others variants that are more of collectors’ item and only opened for very special occasions. Presenting the products at a media parley at the Italian Consulate in Victoria Island, Lagos, Maria Martinez, national sales and marketing manager, Pernod Ricard Nigeria, producer of the cognac, noted that the luxury products are targeted at people who cherish and can afford the world’s best cognac from the stable of Europe’s number brand and one of the leaders in wine and spirit industry in the world.

She noted that the quality of the cognac has no rivalry as Martell has over the years sustained its strong reputation for having developed a unique know-how of creating truly outstanding cognacs.
With the official launch on April 25, 2013 in commemoration of Milan Fashion Week at the consulate, Pernod Ricard Nigeria invites lovers of luxury drinks to rise above casual drinking and enter a world of elegant and educated decision makers with a sophisticated lifestyle.
Also speaking at the event, Stefano De Leo, console general of the Italian Consulate in Lagos, noted that besides hosting the launch of Martell in Nigeria, the consulate also hosted the Milan Fashion Week to boost Italian business interest in Nigeria and also to provide platform for networking for both Nigerian and Italian businesses.
