Few days to the New Year, 19 persons have become millionaires through Dangote Cement in the ongoing Dangote Cement Mega Million Dash promo.
The atmosphere at the Eliozu, GU Ake Road, venue of the formal presentation of the winners, was ignited when one million naira cheque was presented to each of the 19 winners, all end users of Dangote Cement in the South South, whose entries were picked during the draw, held in Lagos.
Speaking at the cheque presentation ceremony, Oare Ojeikere, group chief marketing officer, said the ‘Dangote Mega Millions Dash’ was part of the efforts by the management of the company to give back to its end users of the product as a way of empowering, encouraging and thanking them for their patronage.
Ojeikere noted that the company usually had interactions with its agents and distributors, stressing that the company felt the need to go beyond the distribution value chain and reward end users, mainly block makers, masons, bricklayers and builders.
Also speaking at the event, the zonal coordinator, Consumer Protection Council, South-South, Chinonye Ikegwuruka commended the cement company and said the Commission was around to monitor what the company was doing.
Ikegwuruka advised the winners to always contact the agency if the company failed in its bid to fulfil it obligation, adding that for what they had seen, the promo was real and genuine.
One of the millionaire winners, Ebioko Endurance, thanked the company for the gesture, saying she was shocked and surprised when she was called that she had won a million naira.
Also, another winner, Adeboye Abola Sunday, commended Dangote Cement for bringing smiles to their faces during the festive season, saying “many of us who are using the product before will increase the numbers.”
